About the Role:
As the Legal BDM, you’ll play a key role in identifying new opportunities, developing client relationships, and driving business across multiple legal practice areas. Working closely with Partners and Marketing, you’ll shape and execute growth strategies that align with our ambitious goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement business development plans for legal teams and service lines
Identify and pursue new client opportunities, leads, and markets
Build and nurture long-term client and referrer relationships
Collaborate with fee earners to enhance cross-selling initiatives
Attend networking events, conferences, and industry forums
Provide input into marketing campaigns and thought leadership content
Monitor market trends and competitor activity
Requirements:
Proven track record in business development, ideally within the legal or professional services sector
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of legal services
Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated, strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
Desirable:
Experience working with senior stakeholders or partners in a legal environment
Knowledge of Manchester’s legal or business landscape
