What do you enjoy about Executive Search?

I enjoy improving a candidate's career with the knowledge I have acquired over my time in the industry. I take pride in building longstanding relationships with some of the most commercial and entrepreneurial people in the Accountancy world.

What can you tell people that they don’t already know about you?

I was an extra in a film as a teenager and spent a couple of hours in a coffin!

How does Friday evening end for you?

My two sons (12 & 9) keep me busy transporting them to various sports fixtures across the County.  I love that they are into sport! If I get some time to myself I’d be out on the road running, playing some golf (badly), or out to see some live music with my wife.

What do you see changing in the next three years within the recruitment space?

I think there will be some robots deployed in this “type” of role. AI will play a significant part in the global workforce. Ultimately, within specialist recruitment, there will always be demand for the skills we have.

Three things you’d put in your bag?

My Leatherman - bought for me when I was 21yrs old. It even has a pair of scissors.
Spotify – (even offline) music is a powerful tool.
Perudo – If you know what it is you’ll understand why.

What do you enjoy about Executive Search?

The biggest thing I love about my role within Executive Search, has to be candidate and client satisfaction! Knowing the candidate has landed their ideal job and feel their career has taken an upward turn. Equally the client feels like they have gained the best talent to complement their existing workforce.

What can you tell people that they don’t already know about you?

I once played a frame of snooker with Gareth Southgate!

How does Friday evening end for you?

Movie night with my two boys, usually superhero themed. I am an enthusiastic supporter of grass roots football, and can be found on a cold wet touchline on a Saturday and Sunday morning, cheering on my boy’s teams. We also like to walk our dog, Kane, named after the famous Harry!

What do you see changing in the next three years within the recruitment space?

The powershift from the Big 4 to Boutique Consultancies (UK & US) has been massive in the last few years, and this continues to grow year upon year. The ongoing conflicts the Big 4 have, will only see the Mid-Market strengthen it’s position. I can also see further acquisitions of accounting/law firms.

Three things you’d put in your bag?

My trusted mobile phone (music, tv shows, films – it has the lot)
Good coffee (especially in the mornings)
Crisps (any snack would do)
