Investment Associate (Special Situations)

Our client is a Central London based Investment firm who provide funding in the special situations market. Due to the growth of their business, they require an investment associate to join their entrepreneurial investment team.

Suitable candidate attributes:

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with between 1 & 3 years post qualification experience.
• Experience of working in a role that has been “transactions” focussed.
• Suitable service lines include Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, Restructuring and Insolvency or Debt Advisory.

The role will involve supporting the senior team members in all of their daily tasks, highlighting the need for a candidate with a broad skills base. Ideally, you will be comfortable analysing large data sets, working with financial models and reviewing complex credit reports on a large variety of deal types. We are not looking to identify a specialist in one of these areas, but an individual that is capable of working across them all comfortably. Training will be provided by the senior team members who have operated in this special situations space and are widely known as the market experts.

This is a role for a qualified accountant that wants to gain exposure in the investment market and make the move away from the large consulting firms. It requires a commercial junior accountant that has an interest in business and wants to have an impact over how businesses are run and ultimately perform. The role will offer exposure to some of the biggest special situation deals on the market and allow exposure to a market bursting with opportunity. Candidates must have a willingness to learn and develop new skills in a challenging environment.
