Here at Stonebridge, we’re representing a well-known business that are looking for an experienced BD Manager to hit the ground running as a member of their collaborative, adaptive team. In this client-facing role, you’ll be responsible for managing existing accounts and maintaining strong relationships, while simultaneously developing new professional relationships that can provide a steady pipeline of promising work for the advancement of the firm. This will be split, with approximately 70% of accounts coming from pre-existing clients across the private equity, investment banking and professional services space.
With a well-established BD team of analysts and the ability to network with numerous FTSE 100 clients, this business has also been keen to emphasise their eagerness to sponsor the growth of any successful applicant as they progress through the firm to senior manager, then partner grade.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the business development strategy alongside the BD team, aligned with overall company objectives and goals.
- Build and maintain a strong network of validated and qualified contacts in areas of PE, Corporate Finance, and the CFO community.
- Work closely with the senior delivery team to scope new opportunities and develop compelling proposals.
- Plan and lead sales meetings, ensuring appropriate company representatives are well-prepared and present.
- Utilise networks, corporate finance news, and information systems to identify potential contacts.
- Effectively manage designated accounts to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with other Business Development team members to maximize activity and effectiveness of each contact.
- Oversee the engagement process to deliver timely and appropriate proposals and engagement letters.
Ideal Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a professional services firm.
- Consultancy and or advisory experience.
- Knowledge of Professional Services / Financial Services/ Private Equity/ Investment Banking
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships with external parties at all levels.
- Effective planning and organisational skills.
- Flexible approach to work, able to attend external meetings across London and the South of England.
