Technical Manager - Formal Insolvency

  • Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 pa
  • Job Type: Permanent

Job Description

This is a great opportunity to join some of the most respected financial restructuring professionals in the industry. You will be providing advice on all legal, compliance and technical issues relating to insolvency practices. Having multiple offices around the country they are looking for the right candidate to sit in either their London or Manchester office.  


Key Responsibilities:  


  • Ensuring compliance with insolvency legislation rules and the business’ compliance and risk procedures.  

  • Answering questions from the business and case team relating to formal insolvency matters, including the Insolvency legislation and insolvency related regulatory guidance from IPA, R3, HMRC, HM Treasury and others and being familiar with major international restructuring tools. 

  • Responsible for updating checklists and standard documents for the firm’s insolvency methodologies as required by changes to legislation. 

  • Putting policies and procedures in place to deal with various statutory and internal requirements.  

  • Managing correspondence and potential claims from closed cases.  

  • GDPR requirements.  

  • Conducting annual reviews.  

  • Drafting and submitting approved responses to consultations.  

  • Monitoring compliance with internal data policies.  


Background and Qualifications: 


  • Relevant Degree preferred.  

  • Extensive technical experience and knowledge of insolvency processes, policies and procedures.  

  • Demonstrable experience of working with industry bodies to contribute improvements.  

  • Experience of developing and delivering training materials and programmes to ensure the latest best practice is in place.  

  • Relevant professional qualifications preferred, for example ACA/ACCA or JIEB.  

  • Strong Microsoft office skills. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  

  • Good project and time management skills. 

  • Strong interpersonal abilities, working well with colleagues across a matrix structure.  

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
