Mid-Market Restructuring Sales Director


A leading retail and commercial banking group is growing its Commercial Finance business and are looking for Regional Sales Directors to join them and develop a strong network of external introducers, helping us on their mission to become the ‘go to’ ABL provider for all opportunities which fall within our target market.


About the role


As Regional Sales Director you will have responsibility for delivering a sales target and structuring facilities which are aligned the banking groups credit appetite, required return, and meet the customer’s needs. Your key responsibilities will include


  • Take an active role in delivering the regional and national sales strategy
  • Develop and consistently review your business plan which is aligned to the company sales strategy and focussed on creating a constant flow of new business pipeline opportunities
  • Build a strong reputation and trust within your local market for service delivery and excellence
  • Consistently exceed expectations of all stakeholders including prospects and introducers and ensure strong internal/external stakeholder relationships are built and maintained
  • Apply strong credit skills and industry knowledge when structuring new business deals, identifying risk mitigants and exit plans in all credit submissions
  • Ensure that pipeline deals are managed closely and flow through the end to end process seamlessly
  • Maximise fee income opportunities through strong deal negotiation and appropriate fee structure
  • Initiate and build strategic business partnerships, whilst establishing foundations for reciprocal relationships
  • Comply with all relevant governance and policies


Knowledge, experience, skills, other attributes


  • Mid-market restructuring experience
  • Proven track record in Business Development within the ABL, accounting or professional services sector
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Thorough knowledge of the end to end sales process
  • Proven networking skills
  • Can work under own initiative and consistently meets deadlines and targets
  • Highly developed technical skills in relation to receivables finance and Asset Based Lending
  • Strong financial analysis skills



  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Accounting, restructuring or ABL sector experience
  • Professional accountancy qualifications desirable
