Insolvency Assistant Manager - 4-Day Working Week

We are partnered with a market leading Insolvency firm seeking an Assistant Manager for their West Byfleet office.

They are an incredibly forward-thinking firm who put a great work-life balance for their employees at the forefront of their company values. They offer a 4-DAY WORKING WEEK, Mon-Thurs with hybrid 3 days in the office.

They have recently acquired some interesting Insolvency work in the news and want someone to grow and progress in their team.

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

  • Involvement in client meetings from initial contact, with some responsibility of driving case to appointment date
  • Dealing with cases from commencement/handover to closure, driving case progression from appointment including statutory reporting to a variety of stakeholders
  • Management of multiple cases
  • Experience and understanding of corporate insolvency procedures, particularly CVLs
  • Stakeholder management
  • Achieving statutory and regulatory compliance
  • Responsibility for additional ad hoc tasks as required
  • Having a degree of autonomy in decision making
  • Managing and developing junior employees
  • Developing relationships with other professionals both internally within the group and externally

Skills required:

  • 3+ years’ corporate insolvency experience (this should include previous experience of multiple processes)
  • Good numeracy and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to identify and deal with high-risk issues
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a varied case portfolio
  • Excellent team player
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and be proactive
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • As the role requires analysis and preparation of financial data, an accountancy and/or insolvency qualification is desirable, but is not required.
