Insolvency Assistant Manager


This firm is looking for a candidate who has a minimum of 5 years insolvency experience. The perfect candidate is ambitious and has a strong drive to succeed in this industry.

You’ll be seen as a key member of the team and will be answerable directly to the senior partners group and will have the opportunity to take responsibility for a portfolio of more complex corporate insolvency cases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and organising: to ensure all client work is carried out within the appropriate timescales through continual monitoring of case progression.

• Teamwork: working as a team with the other managers, directors and staff to ensure the department as a whole meets its objectives and all client demands are exceeded.

• Problem solving: knowledge to resolve technical issues and organisation to resolve client and director demands.

• Analytical skills: to assess financial and other information to assist clients in understanding their affairs and needs; to identify opportunities to enhance value for stakeholders.

• Understanding the insolvency act and appreciate key commercial aspects of insolvency companies.

• Provide regular progress reports to the manager including preparation of six-monthly case reviews.

• Be able to work on several different assignments at one time.

• Drafting all routine case correspondence and dealing with creditor telephone enquiries.


• No less than 5 years’ experience within Insolvency and Restructuring.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

• ACA/ACCA or CPI/ICAEW Certificate in Insolvency Qualification highly desirable.

• Studying towards or considering JIEB desirable but not essential.

• Experienced user of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
