Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of contentious insolvency cases, including cases involving fraud, asset tracing, and director misconduct.
- Conduct detailed investigations into financial irregularities, asset recovery, and potential breaches of fiduciary duties.
- Collaborate with legal teams to prepare and review evidence for court proceedings.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including creditors, directors, legal counsel, and regulatory bodies.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, witness statements, and documentation for legal and professional use.
- Supervise and support junior team members, ensuring accuracy and adherence to best practices.
- Monitor case progress, ensuring compliance with statutory and legal frameworks.
- Stay updated on insolvency law and contentious case precedents to provide strategic insights.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in contentious insolvency work, ideally in a similar role.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CPI, ICAEW Certificate in Insolvency, or legal qualifications).
- In-depth knowledge of insolvency laws, investigations, and litigation processes.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills, with experience in forensic accounting or fraud detection an advantage.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including drafting complex reports and legal correspondence.
- Ability to manage multiple high-pressure cases simultaneously.
- Familiarity with case management systems and legal technology tools is desirable.
